Iceland wool adventure: Trip recap
Our Iceland Wool Adventure started and ended in Iceland’s capital, Reykjavik, where guests had time to explore the city at their leisure. We then traveled along the southern road, visiting a wool mill, natural dyes studio and home knitting studio in the Selfoss area, before heading deeper into the country for scenic nature experiences and late-night knitting sessions.
Our knitting instructors Helga Thoroddsen and Hannah Haworth led consecutive all-levels knitting circles, guiding us as we worked to create Icelandic sweaters, hats and mittens.
Each day, we experienced Iceland’s beautiful nature. We visited a couple of different hot springs (our favorite was Hvammsvik), a black sand beach, rode horses and even hiked (and knitted!) on a glacier.
Of course, the main element that made this trip so special was our group of creative women travelers, hosts and collaborators. While we’ll never be able to replicate the exact same trip, we believe that the next Iceland experience will be just as special in its own way.
This trip was such a success, we are considering hosting another in 2025 or 2026. If you are interested in joining us, please sign up for the waitlist here. We will announce the trip to our waitlist first, and we expect it to sell out quickly.
